Chinese New Year -

The Chinese Zodiac

The Chinese Zodiac is similar to the Western Zodiac in that it attributes characteristics based on birth date.  In the Chinese Zodiac the divisions cover a year instead of a month.  Each sign in the 12 year cycle has a animal assigned to represent the personality traits for that year.  The cycle is based on the lunar calendar,  so if you are born in January or February you need to check the year you were born to determine which sign you are.   Link to wikipedia >
